Welcome back everyone to Ask Velvet Podcast. In this episode, I want to talk about unexpected blessings and when I say unexpected blessings, I mean the kind of blessings that show up out of nowhere. Things you never planned for, never expected, but somehow they find their way into your life at exactly the right time. I recently received a free ticket to tonight's Washington Nationals game against the Seattle Mariners. Now I had absolutely no plans to attend a baseball game, but when someone offered me free ticket, I thought to myself, why not? What do I have to lose? Sometimes life presents opportunities when you least expect them. And this was definitely one of those moments. The funny thing is, situations like this seem to happen to me quite often. That's why I truly believe in karma. I believe that how you treat people, how you speak to people, and how you carry yourself in life eventually comes back to you. I also spend a lot of time praying about my situation and remaining hopeful, even when things aren't perfect. Because of that, I feel like good things have a way of showing up when I need them most. So yes, I'm excited about going to the Nat game. It's been quite a while since I've attended a baseball game and I'm looking forward to the experience. And you already know yes, you already know me. I'll be taking mental notes the entire time so I can come back and share the experience with all of you, my listeners. I'll let you know what the atmosphere was like, what the crowd was like, and whether the game lived up to the excitement. Speaking of things I'm excited about, as many of you know, I'll be participating in the Pride Parade on the 20th. I've recently found out that the parade route has been shortened this year, and I have to tell you I am extremely thankful for that. Last year's parade was an amazing experience, but it was also very long, very hot, and very exhausting. The shorter route means less time standing in the heat, less time under the blazing sun, and a lot less exhaustion while still being able to enjoy the event and celebrate with all of you. I've also decided that while I am participating in the parade, I'm going to use the opportunity to promote my podcast and hopefully attract some new subscribers. One thing I've noticed is that my podcast continues to get downloads and I'm very grateful for every single listener. However, I'd love to see more people subscribe and become regular followers of the show. To be honest, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I need to do to turn my listeners into subscribers. Maybe it's a matter of promotion, maybe it's consistency, maybe it's simply continuing to put out great content and letting the audience grow naturally. Whatever the answer is, I'm determined to figure it out. And to everyone who has listened to an episode, shared an episode, or supported this podcast in any way, I want you to know that how much I appreciate you. Yes, I appreciate you, my listeners. Your support means more than you know, and I have plenty more episodes coming your way. At the end of the day, this episode is really about gratitude, whether it's free tickets to a baseball game, an easier parade route, or the continued support of listeners. I've been reminded that blessings don't always arrive in the way we expect. Sometimes they show up as opportunities. Sometimes they show up as small acts of kindness, and sometimes they show up when you least see them coming. So I'm choosing to be thankful, enjoy the experience, and keep moving forward. And also, I will put down in the in the info all of my social media links so you can go and follow me there as well when you want to see it in real time. Thank you all for listening. Thank you for your continued support. And as always, I'll catch you on the next episode.
