Alright now, let's go ahead and get into this. So social media has been doing what social media does best talking, debating, and picking sides. And this time it's about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry doing a visit to Bonday Beach. Now from what people are saying and what it looks like in the clips, there was a woman laid out on the beach, minding her business, enjoying her son, her peace, her moment. And instead of going around her, instead of choosing any other wide open space on that big old beach, they walked right through her space. And I'm just sitting here like wait, wait a minute. Are we serious right now? Now listen, I'm all for respecting people, titles and positions. I get it. But at the end of the day, respect goes both ways. That woman was already there. She wasn't bothering anybody. She wasn't in the way of an emergency. She wasn't causing a scene. She was doing exactly what you're supposed to do at the beach. Lay out and relax. So why should she have to move? That's the part that's not sitting right with me. Because I'm seeing folks online saying well, she should have just moved out the way. No, no she should not have. Let's be real for a second. Bondy Beach in Australia is not small. That is not a cramped little corner. There was plenty of room to go around her. Plenty. And when you choose not to go around someone, when you choose to walk directly through their space, that comes off a certain way. Whether it was intentional or not, it looks like entitlement and perception matters. Because imagine if that was you laying there. You chilling, eyes closed, catching a breeze. And next thing you know, people stepping over you like you not even there. That's disrespectful. Period. Now I'm not saying anybody had bad intentions, but I am saying that actions speak louder than intentions. And that action, it didn't look good. Fame, status, titles, none of that should make somebody feel like they can inconvenience someone else who was already minding their business. Common courtesy is still a thing. Or at least it's supposed to be. So here's where I stand on it. That woman had every right to stay exactly where she was. And as big as that beach is, there's no reason none for anyone to walk through somebody else's personal space like that. That's just my opinion. Now if you feel differently, hey, you already know what to do. Let's talk about it. Make sure you follow, subscribe, and share this episode with your friends, family, coworkers. Listen, even the folks at the beach who mind their business. And if you're rocking with me and want to support the podcast, don't forget, you can become a friend of the podcast. Send your name in, show love, and get your shout out on air. Until next time, stay respectful, stay aware, and don't be out here walking over people, literally or figuratively.
