Welcome to Ask Velvet. Now listen, can we talk about this weather for a second? Because I woke up today freezing. Not a little chill. I'm talking full on where did winter come from? Type cold. I had to pull my winter clothes back out like we didn't just have warm days a minute ago. And the wind. Oh the wind is doing entirely too much. Somebody needs to explain what's going on with Mother Nature. See, this is that confusing time of year where spring is supposed to be here, but winter is still trying to hang on. One day it's nice, you feeling good, maybe even putting on something light. And the next day you bundled up like it's January again. And now they're talking about a freeze tonight. A freeze in April. That's the part that gets me like how are we going backwards? But this is that unpredictable spring weather. Warm air comes in, gets us comfortable, and then boom a cold snap hits out of nowhere. The kind that has you questioning your whole wardrobe choices. So now we back to coats, hoodies, and checking the forecast every five minutes like is this for real? Now let me tell you what really had me thinking. So as I'm walking from my job to the metro station, I had a moment. I'm out there in this jacket, feeling every bit of this cold snap, the wind hitting, the air got that bite to it. It's cold. But then I start looking around and I'm seeing people in shorts, short sleeves, no coat, just out here living their best lives like it's a whole different season. And now I'm sitting there thinking, wait a minute, is it just me? Am I the one that's cold or is it really cold out here and everybody else just pretending? Because the way I'm feeling this weather, baby, this ain't spring. All I know is this. Tomorrow oh I'm not playing with this weather anymore. I'm pulling out the big coat, the hat, the gloves, and don't be surprised if the boots make an appearance too. Because this cold snap right here, it got me all the way messed up. I cannot wait to get home and get warm. And honestly, Mother Nature needs to pick a side and stick with it because I'm ready for consistent warm weather. Not this back and forth situation. But until then, keep your jacket close because clearly spring is still trying to figure itself out. And that's my take on it. You're listening to Ask Velvet.
