Welcome back to Ask Velvet. I hope you're having a great day wherever you're listening from. Today we're doing something a little different. Something fun, something interactive, and something that's going to make you think. This is the first edition of the Daily Riddle Challenge. Here's how it works. I'm going to tell you a short story that hides a riddle inside of it. But here's the twist. I'm not revealing the answer today. If you think you know the answer, I want you to text me your guess or email it to me. That's right, send me a message with what you think the answer is. Then on the next episode, I'll read some of the guesses and reveal who got it right. So listen closely because here comes today's riddle. Every single day people step on me. But I never complain. I'm there in big cities and small towns. I can be found near schools, in neighborhoods, and along busy streets where cars rush by all day long. Some people run across me when they're in a hurry. Some people scroll across me while talking on the phone or walking their dog. Children hop across me, workers cross me on their way to work, and sometimes when the light changes, a crowd of people move across me all at once. I help people get safely from one side to the other, but I never move. So here's today's question. What am I? Take a moment and think about it. Picture the story in your mind. Think about where you've seen it before. If you think you know the answer, here's what I want you to do. Send me a text message with your guest or an email. Just send the word or phrase you think solves the riddle. On the next episode, I'm going to reveal the answer and I'll also give a shout out to some of the listeners who guessed it correctly. So if you want your name mentioned on the podcast, this is your chance to play along. Alright everybody, that's today's daily riddle challenge. Remember, no cheating, no looking it up. Just use your brain and go with your best guess. Send me your answer by text or email, and tomorrow we'll see who cracked the riddle. Until next time, keep thinking, keep guessing, and keep those minds sharp.
